Abby & Brian's Dayton Wedding!

We'd been looking forward to Abby & Brian's wedding since we did their engagement session last fall. They're a super sweet couple and Abby's bubbly personality is definitely contagious. Using the 'Sex in the City' movie as her inspiration, Abby added lots of 'Carrie' to her wedding day right down to her blue silk Manolo Blahnik's (a girl after my own heart!).

We had lots of fun photographing downtown Dayton, especially with their super fun bridal party. They had us laughing all day! Abby's oyster colored dress looked beautiful with the black and royal blue accents that her girls wore. Mark with The Flower Shoppe did a wonderful job on the flowers...I just loved the orchids in Abby's bouquet!

The ceremony was at one of our favorite churches, St. Mary's, which photographs so beautifully. We even got to do a little detour through the Oregon District with the wedding party after the ceremony on the way to the reception. It was truly such a great day with great people and places from start to finish! Congrats to Abby & Brian and enjoy Hilton Head!

Feel free to leave messages for Abby and Brian below in "Comments Rock." Also, become a Fan of Mark Garber Photography on Facebook and tag yourself in photos from the wedding!

Katie and Daryl

With all the rain showers we've had the last few weeks, we were keeping our fingers crossed that it would rain during their session. We lucked out and the rain held off long enough for us to cover just about every inch of Ault Park. Their wedding isn't until next June so you'll have some time to wait for their wedding photos :) Congrats to such a sweet couple!

Holly & Rockford

Holly and Rockford met thanks to their dogs Cody and Reinhard. After the dogs greeted each other at the park, their owners got to talking and the rest is history. Naturally, our two little matchmakers made it into the engagement photographs!

Holly and Rockford's wedding is downtown Indianapolis this August and we can't wait for all the fun! Congrats!

Kristen & Doug's Cincinnati Wedding

The weathermen were calling for severe thunderstorms with up to four inches of rain on Saturday. Needless to say, Krissy and Doug were worried that we wouldn't be able to do the outdoor photographs that they wanted. Luck was on our side and even though it rained all morning, the rain literally stopped right before we were to start photographs!

Krissy and Doug are such a sweet happy couple, and I think it was Krissy's bubbly personality that chased the rain away. Krissy and Doug's ceremony was at one of Cincinnati's prettiest churches, Hyde Park United Methodist, so we we're more than happy to do photographs there. It was a wonderful day with lots of friends and family, who kept us laughing all day!

Thanks for sharing your day with us and enjoy Antigua...so jealous! Feel free to leave well wish for the bride and groom below this post in "Comments Rock." Become a Fan of Mark Garber Photography on Facebook and be sure to Tag your photos.

Krissy and Doug had some great wedding vendors. A special 'Thanks' to them too!

Brianna & David!

We had a fun, but super windy, afternoon with Brianna and David. At times, it felt like the wind would sweep us away, but we still got great images! We even had two little deer follow us around for part of the session. It was like Brianna and David had a fan club at the park.

When we were parting at the end of the session, Brianna said, "I thought this was going to be brutal, but this was easy and great!" It made us laugh, and maybe we should add that to our business cards? Have a safe trip back to Florida!

Professional Photographer Magazine

This month we were asked to contribute to a business article in The Professional Photographer Magazine. The article, which is compilation of interviews, starts in the magazine and continues online. If you are a PPA member, you can read the article by clicking on this link.

Mark's long time friend, fellow photographer and past PPA President, Dennis Craft had a multiple page article featuring his children's work. He caught us off guard by mentioning Mark as an inspiration to him. Very sweet of him to think of Mark! Hopefully we continue to inspire you just as you have also inspired us over the years. Thanks Dennis!
